What is INDIBA®?

At Olinek Center, we are constantly searching for cutting-edge solutions to support our patients' rehabilitation process. We are proud to introduce INDIBA® therapy to our offer – a technology that has been transforming physiotherapy worldwide for over 40 years, now available for your child.

INDIBA® is an innovative therapy based on the Proionic® System, utilizing a specific radiofrequency of 448 kHz. What distinguishes it from other physical methods is its action at the cellular level. The device not only warms the tissues (thermotherapy) but predominantly stimulates the body's natural regenerative potential (biostimulation), accelerating repair processes even in the deepest layers of the body.

It is a non-invasive, safe, and completely painless method, which is crucial when working with children and adolesce

How does it work? The 448 kHz Mechanism

INDIBA® therapy works within the tissue, stimulating ion exchange and restoring the electrical balance of cell membranes. This "awakens" the body for regeneration.

This process takes place in three main areas:

  1. Biostimulation (non-thermal effect): Activates cell metabolism, ideal for acute conditions (fresh injuries, inflammation).

  2. Vascularization (thermal effect): Increases blood flow, oxygenating tissues and muscles.

  3. Hyperactivation (high temperature): Breaks down fibrosis, stimulates collagen remodeling, and removes toxins.

Why INDIBA® in pediatric rehabilitation?

Combining INDIBA® technology with manual therapy (NDT-Bobath, osteopathy) gives our therapists practically unlimited possibilities.

Main benefits for Olinek patients:

Important: The therapy is very pleasant for the patient – felt as a gentle, soothing warmth (or no sensation in athermal mode), which makes children eager to undergo the treatments.

Indications for the treatment

INDIBA® technology works well for both chronic conditions and acute injuries. At Olinek Center, we use it in cases such as:

New: INDIBA AERO Flow

In our center, we also use AERO Flow technology, which combines radio waves with negative pressure. This allows for precise work with fascia, "unsticking" adhered tissues and even deeper mobilization. It is an excellent solution for difficult myofascial restrictions.

Safety

INDIBA® is a technology backed by hundreds of clinical trials and over 40 years of experience.

Trusted by the best

This technology is used by the world's best athletes (including Lionel Messi, Rafael Nadal) and leading Olympic clubs. At Olinek Center, the same championship technology now serves to support your child's fitness.

INDIBA Therapy – questions parents actually ask

(and answers worth knowing)

What exactly is INDIBA therapy?

INDIBA is a form of physical therapy using radio waves at a frequency of 448 kHz. In practice, this means acting on tissues in a way that supports their regeneration, blood supply, and elasticity. It is not an "exercise machine," but a tool that prepares the child's body for better work in rehabilitation.

Does INDIBA cure my child's disability?

No. And we say this directly. INDIBA does not repair neurological damage and does not change the diagnosis. Its role is to facilitate daily therapeutic work, reducing barriers that hinder movement and function.

Why is INDIBA used for children with disabilities at all?

Because many children struggle not only with the diagnosis itself, but also with: – excessive tension, – pain, – overload resulting from compensations, – tissue stiffness. INDIBA can help reduce these difficulties, making exercise therapy more effective and less taxing.

Is INDIBA safe for children?

Yes, provided there is proper qualification and the therapy is conducted by an experienced therapist. Treatment parameters are always adjusted to the age, health status, and therapeutic goal.

Does the INDIBA procedure hurt or is it unpleasant?

No. Children most often describe it as pleasant warmth or a gentle massage. For many, it is even a moment of relaxation.

What if my child cannot lie still?

This is not an obstacle. The procedure can be modified, shortened, combined with play or elements of active therapy. We adapt to the child, not the other way around.

Does INDIBA relax spastic muscles?

It can reduce the feeling of stiffness and tissue tension, which is very helpful before exercises. However, it is not "switching off the muscles," but creating better conditions for work.

Won't the muscles become weaker after INDIBA?

No. The goal is not weakening, but improving the quality of movement. The child continues to exercise, activate muscles, and learn functions.

Can INDIBA replace exercises?

No, and it never should. INDIBA is not a therapy in itself. It works best as a supplement to physiotherapy.

When is the best time to include INDIBA in the therapy plan?

Most often when: – the child has high tension or pain, – it's difficult to "enter" into movement, – tissues are overloaded, – we want to improve the comfort of work before or after intensive therapy.

Does INDIBA help with pain?

It can support the reduction of pain resulting from overload, stiffness, or incorrect movement patterns. Less pain = better child cooperation.

Can INDIBA be used for children with CP?

Yes — as an element supporting rehabilitation, never instead of it. We qualify each child individually.

Does every child at Olinek use INDIBA?

No. Not every child needs it. We use it only when we see a real therapeutic purpose.

How do I know if INDIBA makes sense specifically for my child?

We make the decision after: – functional assessment, – conversation with the parent, – analysis of current therapy goals. Nothing "just in case" and nothing by force.

How many INDIBA treatments are needed?

It depends. Sometimes a few treatments are enough to improve therapy comfort. Sometimes INDIBA is part of a longer process.

Are there contraindications to INDIBA?

Yes. That is why we always qualify the child individually and discuss their health situation in detail.

Does INDIBA speed up rehabilitation results?

It can facilitate and streamline the process, but it will not replace time, regularity, and effort. Rehabilitation still requires patience.

Will INDIBA replace orthoses, equipment, or other therapies?

No. It is a supporting tool, not a competitor to other forms of therapy.

Can a parent be present during the treatment?

Yes. The parent is part of the therapeutic process, not an observer from behind the door.

Why do we use INDIBA at Olinek?

Because we see that for some children, it improves therapy comfort, reduces tension, and allows for calmer and more effective work. And only for that reason.

Finally – the most important part

At Olinek, we don't use INDIBA because it's modern. We use it when it: supports the child, helps in therapy, makes clinical sense.

If you are wondering if INDIBA can be a support for your child — let's talk. Calmly, honestly, and without empty promises.
